James’ debut album was recorded in an intense 2 day session. The songs, all James originals, combine the sounds of Chicago, Mississippi and Memphis. The band, featuring guitar, sax, harmonica, trumpet, trombone, bass and drums, recorded “live” in the studio giving the album a freshness and energy reminiscent of classic Muddy Waters and Buddy Guy.
